The Lauterbrunnen Valley in Switzerland is often compared to Yosemite, but it’s even more breathtaking. This stunning area is home to 72 waterfalls and offers incredible hiking trails. The valley is sometimes referred to as Rivendell because it is said that after World War I, J.R.R. Tolkien and his brother traveled through Switzerland and were inspired by this landscape when envisioning the Elven kingdom of Rivendell.
