In central Idaho, the second deepest canyon in North America, known as the River of No Return, is home to the Salmon River, located near Riggins, Idaho. If you travel about 20 miles out of town and head into the Clearwater Mountains on forest service roads, you'll climb to about 5,600 feet, where you'll find a breathtaking view. Just beyond the horizon lies the deepest canyon, the Snake River, which marks the border between Idaho and Oregon.
